Andrzej Głowacki is an employee of the PAA since 2007. Previously, he was the Director of the Department of Nuclear Safety and Security, responsible, inter alia, for supervision of the nuclear safety and security of nuclear facilities in Poland, including the MARIA research reactor. During his career in PAA, he also held positions of the Director of the Supervision and Inspection Department, and the Head of the Nuclear Installations Inspection Unit. Since April 2019, Mr. Glowacki is a Point of Contact for Integrated Nuclear Security Support Plan in Poland
Mr. Glowacki has significant professional experience in the field of nuclear safety, nuclear security and radiological protection. He completed a number of national and international trainings, including – on the Physical Protection of Nuclear Material and Nuclear Facilities in Albuquerque, USA. He also participated as an expert in the international mission of the IAEA Integrated Nuclear Regulatory Review (IRRS) which was carried out in Canada. He was involved in the oversight of spent nuclear fuel shipments from Poland to the country of origin.
Andrzej Głowacki is a first and second degree nuclear regulatory inspector. He is also a member of the PAA President’s examination boards for the positions of nuclear regulatory inspectors.
Andrzej Głowacki has a master degree in physics. He also completed postgraduate studies in Nuclear Power at the Faculty of Power and Aeronautical Engineering of the Warsaw University of Technology.
