Professional experience:
Since 2020: Policy Officer at the Counter Terrorism Unit of the European Commission’s Directorate General for Migration and Home affairs. Marc is notably in charge of the protection of public spaces, transport security, insider threat and the coordination of the different law enforcement networks the European Commission supports and follows.
2018-2020: Deputy head of the security service at the European Court of Auditors in Luxembourg
From 2003 to 2018: Senior law enforcement officer in the French Gendarmerie where Marc held various command positions in operational units, notably in the French GIGN Special Intervention Unit fighting against terrorism and organised crime in France, Europe, and abroad (Iraq).
Marc was also head of the territorial gendarmerie of the district of METZ (FR) where he was responsible for ensuring protection and security to 130,000 citizens.
Education:
2015: Graduated in Defence, leadership, strategy from the French Advanced Command and Staff College (Ecole de Guerre)
2005: Master’s degree in International affairs and diplomacy from University of Lyon (FR)
2003: Post graduate in Law enforcement and criminal sciences from the French Gendarmerie officers academy
2002: Master’s degree in Defence from the French military academy of Saint Cyr
