Régine Gaucher, graduate engineer from Ecole des Mines (Douai, France) has occupied several positions at the ministry of industry and at the ministry of economy where she was responsible of regulations development and conducted audits and inspections.
She worked also during six years at the headquarters of an international governmental organization where she was a project leader in charge of setting up mutual agreements in the field of legal metrology.
She joined the ministry for energy transition and in particular the Nuclear Security Department in November 2018 as the head of International Affairs and regulation.
She is the Point of Contact, at the IAEA, of the French competent authority for the Convention on the Physical Protection of Nuclear Material (CPPNM) and she is one of the co-chair of European Nuclear Security Regulators Association (ENSRA).
