Raphael is a team leader at the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) Nuclear Security Division. He is responsible for conducting security inspections at high security sites, including Nuclear Power Plants and facilities that store, use and transport high risk radioactive materials. As a senior security advisor, he provides his expertise on security policies, technical assessments, compliance and enforcement activities in the field of nuclear security. Raphael is a certified security professionals (PSP) by American Society for Industrial Security International. He has a Master’s Degree in Criminology. Since 2010, he has participated in numerous IAEA Regional and National Training Courses around the world as an expert and lecturer. In 2015, he was part of the CNSC team that hosted the IPPAS mission to Canada. He participated in IPPAS missions as a team member in 2016 and 2017 and lead mission #88 in 2019.
