Dominican Republic Regional Symposium


Information

This in-person meeting is jointly hosted by the Dominican Republic Comisión Nacional de Energía (CNE) and the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) of the United States of America. It is designed to promote regional dialogue about the need to secure these materials during transport and develop regulations to support transport security of radioactive material.

The objective is to provide a forum for leaders of radiological security to discuss the threats, challenges, methods, and best practices regarding transport security and associated regulations and identify potential solutions for enhancing the security of radioactive material during transport.

All sessions will be held using English/Spanish In-Person Simultaneous Interpretation. This symposium seeks to increase awareness of the importance of developing regulations to securely transport radioactive material.
